WHY IS THE BREAD FROZEN?
Gluten free bread behaves very differently to gluten bread. Without the gluten its shelf life is much shorter. Therefore, freezing it soon after baking is the best way to extend its life.
HOW DO I PREPARE MY BREAD TO EAT?
Keep the bread frozen until its needed. Allow about 5 mins for the bread to thaw before trying to separate the roll.
If you want to eat it immediately you can gently warm it in the toaster on a low or "defrost" setting. The slower the warming the better, as the exterior can get crunchy quickly if toasted normally.
On the other hand, if you want to consume the sandwich at a later time that day, you can prepare the sandwich on the frozen roll allowing it to thaw naturally over a few hours.
DO YOU USE OAT FLOUR IN YOUR BAKING?
Oat flour is a common substitute in gluten free baking. However, I've always found it difficult to tolerate in my diet, so I never bake with it.
